Somehow I always wind up with the amazing families! A beautiful service and night party with gorgeous flowers/plants by Lumiere Lauren.
Hailey reminds me of a comet: bold, shining bright and impossible to miss--a wonderful night for one of my favorite Marblehead families with entertainment delivered with perfection by Party Excitement!
I knew when I met Dan heavily embroiled in a dance off at his friends wedding that he and his wife to be Danielle were the ideal couple for me and their fall wedding in Salem was exceptional in their clear love not only for themselves but for their friends & family too.
Jake is one of those kids that radiates such an overwhelming sense of positivity it was almost unreal--surrounded by a family and group of friends who clearly adore him at the Marriott Long Wharf in Boston with a Red Sox theme--perfect fall event in New England.
Sneak peek from what is clearly one of my favorite new couples outside the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem on a frigid November day
Taking portraits of Sasha, Lila, and Clara is less photography and more a portal to what seems like a passage of time out of "Alice in Wonderland"
It's still almost incomprehensible that Emma had her Bat Mitzvah as I have been photographing her before she was even born. A day and evening documenting their event doesn't come close to articulating the magic of Emma's journey --
I knew when I met with Audrey's parents that it was going to be a special event and little did I know just how correct I was. As I left the morning portrait session I spotted someone who liked quite like Annie Leibovitz and by the time I reached the event space at Boston University I realized that indeed this unique day just got a bit more so. Here's a small sampling of the magic that took place with Audrey, family, and friends.
Nick and Claudia, their friends and family shared a pitch perfect September day in one of my favorite towns on the North Shore: Gloucester. The love shared between these two is effortless and clearly true. Having a cinematic fog roll in only heightened the magic.
Dan & Kait, family and friends made a gorgeous late summer wedding at the beautiful Andover Country Club a day to remember--here's a taste of some of that magic--
I had to put up this one photograph that I believe fully embodies the magic of these two incredible individuals on a day when a magical fog rolled through the North Shore. Stay tuned for a full blog piece from their wedding day.
After an incredibly busy summer I'm putting up some of my favorite events jobs including Nate and his beyond wonderful family : thanks guys!
I'm so happy that Boston Common Magazine ran some of my photos with my one of my all time favorite organizations: the Cardinal Cushing Centers as they raised money at their annual Springtime Gala in Boston -- the work they do to "support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing possibilities and opportunities for growth and advancement." always amazes me, Here's a link to some of the photos :

What is there to say?: if you know the Gansenberg's then you know just how much fun I had working with this exceptional family. Here's a sneak peek from that wonderful night in Marblehead.
Part of what makes event photography so special for me are the families and couples that I have connections with prior to being hired. The opportunity to work with Remi and her family at Temple Israel was born from recent photo projects with the Anti-Defamation League. The organization's Regional Director, Robert Trestan happens to be Remi's father and the connection he and I forged at the Anti-Defamation League photo shoot prompted Robert to bring me in to cover his daughter's big day. From the moment Remi, her brother, and their cousins burst out of the sanctuary, I instantly knew it was going to be a one-of-a-kind experience, right down to Sarah Silverman making an on-screen cameo appearance. Kindred connections doesn't really capture how lucky I feel to connect with families but Remi's Bt Mitzvah photos certainly speak volumes about my gratitude.
Dan, Kait, and I braved the cold, sought shelter during a hail storm and found time to bridge two towns: Beverly and Marblehead. A super fun couple and clearly "Hearty New Englanders"!
I'll begin this blog post like I've done with others: an image from Rory's Bat Mitzvah to bridge us over to Nina's; this family never ceases to amaze me with their warmth, kindness, and excitement towards life and not just their immediate family but their extended family and friends.
Last week I was rewarded once again with a completely unique couple at a location steeped rich in history on a wonderful Friday morning. Inspiration comes easy when surrounded by a garden built hundreds of years ago. Hannah led the way with a classic dress and hair styled by Rouge and not to mention wonderful expressions as we took portraits on their wedding day.
Another wedding where the back story with Allison and Tim couldn't be better: I met Tim's grandfather while taking his portrait for a series on Veterans of Foreign Wars. Leonard Kieley served as a tank commander in WWII over in Europe and that's how I met this incredible, dynamic couple. Surrounded by an amazing cast of friends and family at the ever inspirational House of 7 Gables on a blustery gorgeous Summer day . . .
Let's face it—the Kastens are one of those highly enviable families: as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. On a pitch perfect summer day in Swampscott at Shirat Hayam, day turned into night as Pure Energy brought all Jared's family and friends into a seamless dance party celebrating tradition & family.
